Angler Advantage Insurance Program's Disqualification Factors

Watercraft "DISQUALIFICATION" Factors

  1. Watercraft is over 26 feet or over $100,000. In "combined" hull, motor(s) and trailer value;

  2. If a "bassboat" or "pontoon boat", the watercraft cannot be powered with an "outboard motor" in excess of 250 horsepower. Any other type of watercraft other than a "bassboat" or "pontoon boat", the watercraft cannot be powered with an "outboard motor" in excess of 300 horsepower;

  3. Watercraft has the capability of exceeding 80 M.P.H.;

  4. Watercraft is manufactured by Allison, Bullet, or Gambler;

  5. Watercraft is over twenty-five (25) years old. (Calculate by taking current calendar year and subtract the watercraft's "model year".);

  6. Outboard Motor(s) is/are "modified" and they are not the manufacturer's "stock engines" ---"exceptions" being either a change in propellers and/or addition of a "jack-plate"; and

  7. Intended navigation use is "outside" the following range: The Inland waters of the contiguous 48 states of the U.S. and Canada, the Great lakes, and all coastal waters of the contiguous 48 states of the U.S., but not to include the Atlantic or Pacific Coastal waters of Canada.

Operator "DISQUALIFICATION" Factors

  1. Owner/Named operator is not at least twenty-one (21) years old;

  2. Owner must have at least three (3) or more years of watercraft experience and ownership in a similar type and horsepower watercraft ---excluding "Personal Watercraft" (PWC's) experience;

  3. Owner/Named operator will not qualify if within the past three (3) years their MVY shows the following:

    • More than three (3) violations per operator of five (5) per household;

    • Any major violations such as "Reckless Driving"; DUI/DWI; or any alcohol or drug related offense;

    • More than one (1) "at fault" accident; or

    • A suspended or revoked drivers license currently.

HOWEVER, infractions under "3" above may be referred to Old United Casualty Company for their possible consideration --- if there are extenuating circumstances.
