The Angler's Advantage Gold Insurance Program's Underwriting Criteria & Parameters

  1. Program Parameters/Qualifications
    Designed for fishing guides and amateur fishermen and fisherwomen who are active members of a fishing association, or are individuals who simply enjoy the sport of freshwater and/or saltwater fishing.
     
  2. Watercraft Qualifications
    • Watercraft must be < 26 feet and < $100,000. in "combined" hull, outboard motor(s), watercraft trailer and unattached equipment and accessories value (excluding personal effects which would include fishing equipment.)
       
    • The watercraft does not have the capability of exceeding a maximum speed of 80 miles per hour.
       
    • The maximum outboard motor horsepower entertained on a "bassboat" under this program is 250 horsepower. The maximum outboard motor horsepower entertained on any other watercraft other than a "bassboat" is 300 horsepower.
       
    • No watercraft which are over twenty-five (25) years of age will be considered under this program.
       
    • All outboard motors MUST be "stock" manufacturers' motors. NO "modifications" to the outboard motors to enhance its performance ---with the "exceptions" of the addition of a "jackplate" or a change in propeller.
       
    • Both a Speed Warranty and a Kill Switch/Hot Foot Warranty will be attached to the policy for any watercraft which exceeds 60 miles per hour.
       
    • Prohibited bassboat manufacturers are: Allison, Bullet and Gambler. (This is due both their speed capabilities and hull manufacturing materials, i.e. Kevlar.)
       
    • Outboard motors over seven (7) years of age for association members or individuals that are not "fishing guides" or "professionals"; and over five (5) years of age for "fishing guides" or "professionals" will be covered on an "Actual Cash Value" basis in lieu of either our standard "Agreed Value" basis or our new optional "Total Replacement Cost" basis.
       
  3. Operator/Owner Qualifications

    • The owner / Named Operator MUST be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
       
    • The owner MUST have at least three (3) or more years of watercraft experience and ownership in a similar type and horsepower watercraft --- excluding Personal Watercraft experience. (PWC experience and/or ownership does not count!)
       
    • The Company will NOT accept an operator of a watercraft if within the past three (3) years there have been:
      1. More than three (3) violations per operator or five (5) per household; or
      2. Any major violations such as "Reckless Driving"; "DUI/DWI"; or any other alcohol or drug related offenses; or
      3. More than one (1) "at fault" accident; or
      4. "Suspension" or "revocation" of a drivers license without the prior approval of Old United Casualty Company's Home Office.
         
  4. Valuation
    "Agreed Value/Fair Market Value" form is standard under this program --- except for certain scheduled items which are subject to depreciation specifically outlined in the policy. Outboard motors seven (7) year of age or older for association members or individuals who are not "fishing guides" or "professionals"; or five (5) years of age or older for "fishing guides" or "professionals" are subject to depreciation and thus are subject to "Actual Cash Value" valuation.

    A new optional Total Replacement Cost" Valuation Endorsement is available for any watercraft, outboard motor, and/or trailer that is less than five (5) years of age for a nominal additional annual premium charge.
     
  5. Navigational Limits
    Navigational limits under this program will be limited to the inland waters of the contiguous 48 states of the United States and Canada, the Great Lakes, and all coastal waters of the contiguous 48 states of the United States, but not to include the Atlantic and/or Pacific Coastal waters of Canada.
     
  6. Minimum Premiums
    $200.00 for all association members' or individuals' policies; and $350.00 for all "fishing guides'" and/or "professionals'" policies.

    No "$25.00 Service Policy Fee" will be charged under this program.
     
  7. Miscellaneous
    All risks MUST be submitted to Old United Casualty Company's Home Office or to one of our appointed independent agents/general agents for quotation purposes. Quotes will be honored for a maximum of thirty (30) days after they have been released to an associations' member or to an individual by Old United Casualty Company's Home Office or one of our licensed independent agents/general agents.
